During March and April we attended the SAP SMB Innovation Summits. This year they were in Ho Chi Minh, Barcelona and Orlando. It was a great way learn about the latest news from SAP and what’s coming down the line in SAP Business One.

Here are a few of the key takeaways that grabbed our attention:

Office 365 integration for Excel and Word templates
Better data analysis and the ability to pull fields from SAP Business One directly into Excel

Invoice recognition
The ability to drag an electronic copy of an invoice and have the content interpreted so a draft document can be created with the PDF attachment

API Business Hub
To provide a central area for managing the DI-API and Service Layer for integration with external applications

Use of Artificial Intelligence
The HANA version already has Sales Recommendations

Analysis of Big Data
Turn unstructured data into structured data for use in reporting via Excel – in 9.3 PL3 onwards

Support for GDPR in 9.3 PL3/4
Upcoming versions of SAP Business One will provide more support and resources to help businesses work at being GDPR compliant
