There’s a new version of SAP Business One. Version 9.3 is here and it’s bigger and better than ever!
So what can you expect? There’s a host of important new tools and enhancements that SAP have been developing over the last little while.
In the first part of his round up on SAP Business One Version 9.3, Mark Rijke, Managing Director at Milner Browne, looked at some of the new tools that have been added. Here, he takes a look at the enhancements to existing tools that are new to 9.3.
There’s a new CRM module that has got lots of features in. In the Activity dashboard, tasks can now be assigned to several users. Respective recipient lists can also be created for this purpose.
You can now define prices per unit in Version 9.3. There’s also a new pricing hierarchy per business partners, and the ability to limit special prices by date range.
I know this has been frustrating for a lot of users. You can now update draft documents with either ‘pending’ or ‘approved’ documents. It’ll save lots of time having to cancel the approval process and starting again when something needs changing or is incorrect.
You no longer have to be a DTW expert to import Journal Entries, Opening Balances, and Serial and Batch Numbers into SAP. Version 9.3 will do it automatically for you.
There are lots of new features here. You can determine fixed exchange rates and the blanket agreement is managed in the document header. There are also tools to update the planned amounts, quantities and prices linked in other documents. You can also add information in the Details Tab; and control the deviation from planned amounts or quantities.
Ideal for retail businesses, this new enhancement lets you define whether to apply gross or net price calculation in documents. It streamlines the whole calculation method.
