Press Release: Soundstore selects integrated SAP EPoS solution with IIS Group

The IIS Group is pleased to announce that Soundstore has decided to deploy SAP Customer Checkout with SAP Business One, powered by SAP HANA.
The upgrade to an integrated SAP solution will link together Soundstore’s electronic point of sale (EPoS) activities with its centralised SAP Business One database to create a best-in-class sales and purchasing shopping experience across its six retail outlets in Ireland.
Morgan Browne, Chief Executive, IIS Group, said the switch to the SAP Customer Checkout will provide Soundstore with a seamless solution that integrates and automates common retail tasks.
He commented: “The user-friendly nature of the solution provides expert analysis and links cash register data with SAP Business One. When powered by SAP HANA, ultimately this will provide Soundstore with a multi and omni-channel retail solution that provides sales and stock data in real-time and instant up-to-minute reports on customer and organisational activity.”
The SAP Customer Checkout provides retailers with a comprehensive business management solution to professionally complete tasks across their organisation. This includes all point of sale requirements, detailed sales analysis, reports and forecasts and all other additional tools within SAP Business One.
John O’Brien, Operations Manager, Soundstore, explained why the Munster-based retailer has decided to integrate its point of sale software with SAP Business One, powered by SAP HANA.
He commented: “SAP Customer Checkout will provide integration into our SAP ERP solution meaning we’ll have more transparency into orders at the till, quicker transaction times and the ability to retrieve information on stock levels. The solution is also really user-friendly and easy to use. With the integrated nature of SAP Customer Checkout with SAP Business One we expect far less issues than what we have experienced previously with the third-party solution we have been using.”
In addition to the implementation of the new EPoS software, Soundstore will also be deploying SAP HANA to power their SAP Business One solution. SAP HANA provides small businesses with faster, more predictable performance where spontaneous business questions are generated in seconds.
Mr O’Brien added that the upgrade to SAP HANA will assist the company process electronic orders via its website more effectively.
He said: “The introduction of SAP HANA will provide us with full integration to our website. We receive hundreds of orders each month through our website. Having a solution that integrates into SAP Business One is essential when we’re dealing with such a high number of transactions. SAP HANA will also provide our staff with real-time dashboards and visibility into stock levels — along with improved efficiencies across all areas of the business due to the solution’s powerful reporting tools.”
