Milner Browne has been named as one of the best managed companies in Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies Award Programme for the second consecutive year.
After being selected as one of last year’s first time recipients, Milner Browne has retained its Best Managed status at the Deloitte award gala dinner.
Morgan Browne, Chief Executive at Milner Browne, said he was proud to have been one of just 70 companies that re-qualified for the award after Deloitte’s comprehensive review process of activities.
“It’s fantastic to have been recognised by the judging panel for another year and to officially be one of the best managed businesses across Ireland again,” he said.
“In the last 12 months we significantly increased our head count. Yet we still managed to maintain the commitment, skill, culture, strategy and leadership that caught the judges’ eyes last year.
“It’s great to have been recognised as one of the best managed businesses across Ireland again.”
In total, the network of Best Managed Companies employs more than 47,000 people across Ireland with a combined turnover of around €10bn.
Brendan Jennings, Managing Partner of Deloitte and one of the judging panel, highlighted the importance of Irish companies to the economy.
“It is clear that these companies make an invaluable contribution,” he said.
“It is also really encouraging to see such a large number of technology companies among the winners, another indicator of the global reputation Ireland is building as a hub for such activity.”
Amongst the other winners were a number of Milner Browne business partners. Dublin-based LED Group was included as one of 16 newcomers. Java Republic Roasting Company and taxback.com were also included within Deloitte’s platinum standard companies — for organisations who have retained their Best Managed status for seven consecutive years.
