News feature: Culture is key as IIS Group is selected as a Best Managed Company

What do you get if you combine a renowned company culture, strategic objectives met by a team of committed, skilled workforce, all overseen by the stewardship of an experienced management team? The answer… a best managed company.

That’s officially what the IIS Group is having been as one of the new winning companies at the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Award, in association with Barclays Bank Ireland.

The SAP Gold Partner was recognised by Deloitte’s judging panel for fusing together the right people and processes to meet various strategic objectives across the business.

IIS Group Chief Executive Morgan Browne said the award highlighted the culture instilled across offices in Europe which has not only helped the company meet its own objectives — but those of its business partners.

“When I acquired the IIS Group back in 2008 we had a team of just 12 people. Over the last seven years we’ve gone from strength to strength and now employ a skilled workforce that exceeds 85 people. This award is testament to the commitment, expertise and strategy of our teams. It’s fantastic to have been recognised as one of the best managed business across Ireland.”

Richard Bruton T.D., Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, congratulated the IIS Group on their achievement in his keynote speech during the award ceremony.

As part of winning the award, the IIS Group worked closely with Deloitte’s judging panel to demonstrate how the company is meeting its strategic objectives. The awards, which are open to companies across Ireland, are now in their seventh year. Companies recognised in this year’s awards employ more than 19,000 people and have total revenues of €6 billion.

In addition to IIS Group’s award, several of IIS’ company’s business partners — who have used SAP Business One to meet their own objectives — were also presented with accolades. Cork company Morgan McKinley and Dublin-based Zeus Packaging were presented with the gold standard accolade having secured the best managed status for a fourth time. Other business partners, Java Republic, The Taxback Group and Voxpro were also selected as Requalifying Companies at the ceremony.
