Accounting body grants prestigious accreditation to SAP Business One

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has included SAP Business One in its prestigious accredited software scheme.

The solution passed the organisation’s robust technical evaluation criteria and is now one of its recommended applications to nearly 150,000 global members.

The ICAEW’s evaluation said that the SAP Business One platform “support[s] growth and change” and that the solution “is a well-designed product for producing sets of accounts”.

Peace of Mind

ICAEW’s Accreditation Software Scheme aims to provide peace of mind to users with access to reliable and independently evaluated products.

The scheme is now seen as the benchmark for solutions that are used by accountants in business and within practice markets.

SAP Business One is an end-to-end business management system that helps organisations to reduce the complexity of managing accounts and financials.

Tools for accounting, financial controlling, banking and reconciliation help streamline everyday tasks by automating activities – whilst integrating them with other business processes.

Recommendation

As part of evaluation, the ICAEW analysed different functional requirements within SAP Business One. These ranged from areas around security, performance of requisite accounting functions, stock control and support and maintenance.

“In terms of the functionality that is present in the current version (Version 9.2) and the target markets for the product, the product has been adequately specified,” the evaluation concluded.

As financial experts, the Institute provides members with knowledge and guidance to ensure Accountants meet high standards of ethics and technical standards.
