The challenge

As the company continued to grow, its sales and distribution channels were unable to cope with complex stock management and intricate customer relationships.Murray’s Medical Equipment needed to transform long established, paper-based processes into an integrated, automated software system if it was to accommodate expected growth.Existing tools used to manage sales orders were constantly crashing due to the volume of transactions. When these systems finally rebooted, staff were forced to spend an hour each day creating back-ups of data.

How we helped Murrays

Murray’s Medical had out grown an accounting package it had deployed many years ago. The company realised it required an ERP solution to integrate processes centrally and to remove disparate solutions from different departments.

The introduction of SAP Business One has revolutionised the way that Murray’s Medical Equipment now manages procedures. Orders are now entered directly in SAP Business One and customer facing staff get instant access into real-time stock availability.

Staff no longer have to create credit notes and SAP Business One automatically calculates discounts at the end of each month.

Additionally, Milner Browne customised SAP Business One to calculate complex discount requirements. Field-based sales teams can also access SAP Business One and give customers instant quotes and check stock levels.
