Defining a successful project

Milner Browne has devised a seven-point charter to enable our team to complete implementation projects in the most effective and efficient manner.

Four-step approach

1. Initiation

  • “Kick-off” meeting with your Milner Browne Project Manager, Lead Consultant and Sales Executive;
  • Roles and responsibilities are established, and a communication plan agreed;
  • Overall implementation process is outlined.

2. Planning/Scoping

  • Lead Consultant completes on-site scoping document to understand existing processes and your organisation’s goals for the new solution;
  • Consultants map processes against solution functionality;
  • Discuss any additional reporting and development requirements against initial requirements.

3. Execution & Control

  • Software is deployed, databases are installed and configured by an SAP consultant;
  • Workshops and training are completed;
  • User-acceptance testing is conducted.

4. Completion

  • Go-live review is completed to assess and address any outstanding issues ahead of the Project Managers and Consultants completing and closing projects;
  • Clients then receive on-going assistance from Milner Browne’s award-winning Support team when their solution is deployed.
